Beach Cruiser

Beach Cruiser is knit top-down, in the round, in one piece, with no seaming. The top section is knit in a loose gauge with one strand, while the lower section is knit in a tighter gauge with two strands held together.

Sizes: XXS (XS, S, M, L, XL) [2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL].

Finished bust circumference: 27.25 (31, 34.75, 38.5, 42.25, 46) [50, 53.75, 58.25, 62]”/ 68 (77.5, 87, 96.5, 106, 115.5) [124.5, 134, 146, 155.5]cm.

Needles: US 8/ 5.0mm, or size to obtain gauge with single strand, 24”/ 60cm circular; US 7/ 4.5mm, or 1 size smaller than gauge needle for single strand, 24”/ 60cm circular; US 7/ 4.5mm, or size to obtain gauge with double strand, 24”/ 60cm or 32”/ 80cm circular; US 6/ 4.0mm, or 1 size smaller than gauge needle for double strand, in same length as above.

Note: Check your gauge with A held single, and again with B held double. Gauge needles may vary by several sizes.

Gauge: 17 sts and 22 rnds = 4”/ 10cm in Stockinette stitch on US 8/ 5.0mm with A held single, and on US 7/ 4.5mm with B held double.

Yarn: fingering weight in three colors:

A: 120 (160, 220, 275, 330, 395) [475, 550, 605, 667] yards/ 110 (147, 202, 252, 302, 362) [435, 503, 553, 610] meters.

B: 565 (645, 770, 850, 935, 1075) [1165, 1250, 1350, 1460] yards/ 520 (590, 700, 780, 855, 985) [1065, 1145, 1234, 1335] meters.

C: 85 (95, 110, 125, 135, 155) [170, 185, 200, 220] yards/ 75 (85, 100, 115, 120, 140) [156, 170, 183, 202] meters.
